A decent Whisky should be at 56% or so.. it's just the imense bitterness of the hops that makes this stuff vile... A tiny sip is awesome, but anything more than that is just bleh.

I didn't mean to imply that anything 55% is vile. Beer is not meant to be 55%. I'd say 8% is probably the hard cap for a beer. Barelywine is fucking delicious.

8%? Do you even Pump[KY]n (17%)? Or BLK Fist (26.1%)? Or hell, the best imperial stouts are typically between 10% and 13%. I'd say a hard cap of 14% Would cover a vast majority of all beers, but then you'd leave out the Pump[KY]n's and 120 Minute's of the world.
